Portrait photography in Fort Myers, the surrounding islands and all the way down to Marco Island provides for wonderful backdrops for families. The preferred time is sunset, but the blue sky and white sand adds colors that are only available in Florida and the Caribbean Islands.
 

Sanibel and Captiva Island beaches face west. The southern end of Sanibel actually faces east, so a sunrise portrait along with some driftwood is preferred there.  Marco Island around Tiger Tail beach is attractive for family and children portraits. The Fort Myers Beach area is an area where older teenagers photograph well with the busy backgrounds.
